It’s Snowing

It’s snowing, it’s snowing, the ole’ man is blowing!!!! Okay…so it isn’t exactly your prototypical snow! Rather these measly little pellets but it is an indication that change is coming! (No political overtones intended here!) I like winter…not my favorite of the seasons but it is such a beautiful portrayal that things must fall asleep for a period of time. They must rest and rejuvenate so that spring growth can happen! Where do you find rest? In a world that could literally fill 25 hours worth of stuff in the 24 hours we have, when and where do you find rest…sabbath? If creation needs a rest to recover, don’t you think it is possible that you might need it also?

Excited to see you try the blog. Good low key way for some folks to be engaged. As for rest… I love a Sunday afternoon nap in the hammock, but haven’t done that for a year or so. I envy those who are organized enough for a quite time of reflection each day – nourishment and rest for the spirit.
