Some of my friends in ministry aren’t too keen on Minister’s School. In some respects I would agree because the learning events are not always at the highest standard. But I will be the first to admit that I am not here for the learning events. I am here to see some of my friends; to get a chance to just be away from routine and to have a chance to catch up with what is going on in their lives and their ministry. Yeah Facebook, Twitter, email and phone calls can help in some respect, but they do not replace the human need to be in close proximity to one another. The ability to read a persons body lanuage, to see their facial expression, to hear the tone in their voice along with the words…that is what makes us human! Contact! Face to face contact! We simply can not live without it and as much contact as I have, this kind renews me!
