Questions That Leave a Mark

I did some work earlier this year on message series for 2011 but I am always open to new ideas. God speaks all year, not just during my study break. I am thinking about a couple that are intriguing. One is titled “It’s Complicated” looking at the theodicy question from the Book of Job. Another is “I’m Just Sayin‘: The Power of Words.” I like the title “Living Upside Down” for a stewardship program. But the one that is kind of ringing in my ears right now is “Questions That Leave a Mark.” It is amazing how first impressions leave a mark on our human response mechanism. First taste can be a two thumbs up or gray matter implant that says “Yuck” filed next to an image. I think our 2,000 years of interpreting God’s work in and through the person of Jesus Christ has created some questions that leave a mark! I posted on my Facebook Wall an unscientific survey request. I hope folks will reply because I am curious to know what the questions are that people are wrestling with and how do we faithfully respond as living representatives of God.
